Ketunleipä Listening Station, 2020
Platform for listening sounds and poems
Poems are written/experienced in Reposaari in autumn 2017. Sound material is collected from the site and later arranged into sound collages. They are an archive, a listening station, upon which I wish the visitor to lay down on a soft surface. To taste the subjective memory trail of words, the acidic flavour of ketunleipä, or wood sorrel, and the autumn breeze on a forest path.
Bio
Ilai Elias Lehto (1988 / Joensuu) is a poet/sculptor who wanders here and there writing poetry, collecting sounds and formulating questions out of phonemes. Lehto lives and works in Helsinki. He graduated from the Visual Culture and Contemporary Art master's program at Aalto University in 2018.
