an afternoon rest or nap, usually taken after lunch between 12am-15pm
The island of Reposaari had an one hour siesta during the years of 1955-1998. Artist duo 55-98 held a commemoration event on 27th of September 2017 at Kaupparannan Grilli-Kahvio in Reposaari where the Siesta Portraits were taken with the Siesta Memorial Plaque. The memorial plaque was handed over to the Association of Reposaari during the event.

55-98 is an artist collective by Verna Kovanen and Krista Seppälä, founded in 2017. Their works explore the culture of overload and the importance of rest.
